🏆 What E-Space Is Building at the Airport
E-Space builds low Earth orbit satellites meant to link Internet of Things devices around the globe. The company is led by Greg Wyler, the entrepreneur behind earlier satellite ventures O3b Networks and OneWeb.
Its Arlington home is taking shape on the west side of Arlington Municipal Airport in south Arlington. According to the City of Arlington, the project broke ground in fall 2025 and is expected to finish in spring 2027. The Arlington Economic Development Corporation will own the building and lease it to E-Space, and a new airport access road will connect the site to MLK Drive.
The headline number is more than 2,000 high-wage jobs. That is a long-range projection, not a hiring wave arriving next month. The Dallas Morning News reported in 2025 that the lease terms require at least 400 jobs carrying an average salary of $95,000, with 2,000 expected over about a decade.
💼 The Jobs Open Right Now
E-Space's own careers page lists Arlington openings across three tracks:
- Manufacturing: manufacturing technician, composites technician, development production technician, integration tech, optical manufacturing engineer and senior industrial engineer.
- Engineering and operations: RF integration and test, 5G core systems, antenna design, radar systems, GNC, environmental and deployable-structures testing, PLC programming and maintenance technician roles.
- Business support: accounting, government contracts, export compliance, cybersecurity, IT support and recruiting.
✅ What You Need for the Production Roles
The production jobs are the ones most Arlington job seekers can walk into. The manufacturing technician posting asks for a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent hands-on experience) and at least a year in manufacturing, assembly or production. The work: building and testing aerospace hardware to written instructions, running automated and robotic equipment, inspecting parts and logging measurements.
The composites technician role is friendlier still, asking for zero to two years of hands-on experience and a willingness to learn. Expect to stand for long stretches and lift up to 50 pounds. Both are on-site and full-time, and E-Space warns that extended hours and weekends come with critical build periods.
Two things to know before you apply. First, the hourly postings we reviewed don't list a pay rate, so ask about it at the screening stage. Second, E-Space says it can't sponsor candidates who lack work authorization for the role's location.
