What Macy's Announced for the 2026 Holiday Season

Macy's, Inc. laid out its season in a September 24 holiday hiring announcement. The company is hiring seasonal workers across Macy's, Bloomingdale's and Bluemercury stores, with in-person hiring days on September 24, October 22 and November 19. Macy's says event times vary by location.

Here's the honest part. Macy's named 10 top hiring markets for its stores this year, and Houston is the only Texas metro on that list. Dallas made the list for Bluemercury, the company's beauty chain, but not for Macy's stores. The hiring days still run nationwide, Arlington included. Macy's has not published a headcount for the Arlington store or for North Texas, and we won't guess at one.

🗺️ Where to Go: The Parks Mall at Arlington

The Arlington Macy's anchors The Parks Mall at Arlington at 3841 S. Cooper St., just north of I-20 in south Arlington. It's an easy trip from the Highlands, Dalworthington Gardens and the UTA area up Cooper, and a short hop for job seekers coming in from Mansfield or Grand Prairie on the interstate.

The store's phone is (817) 472-4500. Call before you head over and ask what hours the store is running for the October 22 event.

Other Arlington Hiring Events on the Calendar

Macy's is hiring for the season. If you want a year-round job too, two other Tarrant County events are worth a look. On Tuesday, October 13, Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County is hiring customer service reps at its Mid-Cities center in Hurst. On Thursday, November 5, the Hiring Red, White & You Job Fair returns to Globe Life Field in the Entertainment District.

💵 What It Pays and What Comes With It

Macy's says every job posting lists its pay range, so you see the number before you apply. The company lists colleague discounts, 401(k) savings, access to earned wages before payday and an employee assistance program among its benefits, with medical, dental and vision coverage based on eligibility.

📋 How to Show Up Ready on Oct. 22

Apply online before you go. It gives the hiring manager something to pull up. Macy's applicants can also submit a recorded interview.
Bring photo ID. If you're hired, you'll fill out work-authorization paperwork.
